Job Title:

First-Line Risk Lead

Job Description: As a strategic risk leader, you will champion the enterprise risk framework within business units. Key responsibilities include driving compliance with risk frameworks, reporting and monitoring risks, reviewing and maintaining risk profiles, leading risk assessments, improving risk awareness, assisting with audits, and providing challenge to proposed risk mitigation solutions.

Your primary focus will be on embedding risk discussions in recurring forums to increase maturity, ownership, and understanding. You will work closely with risk and control owners across business units, reviewing open actions and ensuring reporting is updated regularly. Additionally, you will compile and submit key risk indicators to the GRC team for monitoring, provide feedback on key enterprise risks, review business unit risk profiles, coordinate submission of key risks, support control attestation, critique and rationalize controls, undertake risk deep-dives, assist with business continuity management, and facilitate regulatory and internal audits.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives and projects simultaneously, autonomously delivering high-priority results. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for interacting with senior management and executives. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Visio, and using GRC systems is also required. Tertiary qualifications in commerce, supported by post-graduate qualifications and/or industry accreditation/certification, are preferred. Experience gained in a technology and data-driven firm is highly valued.
