Technical Documentation Specialist

We're seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team and create high-quality documentation for our organisation. This role requires someone who can standardise documentation practices, set up templates, and ensure consistency across all outputs.

You'll work closely with engineers, project managers, and leadership to develop and maintain accurate, accessible, and compliant documentation. Your primary focus will be on technical writing, but there's also scope to support document control activities such as versioning, approvals, and SharePoint management.

This is a full-time position in a fast-paced, financially secure organisation. If you have a proven track record of creating clear and concise documentation, please apply with your most up-to-date CV.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain product manuals and user guides
  • Develop operating and maintenance procedures
  • Produce compliance documentation aligned with aerospace/defence standards
  • Design training materials, quick-reference guides, and FAQs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and leadership to capture and refine technical knowledge
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a highly technical industry
  • Strong portfolio of technical documents
  • Ability to interview SMEs and extract information for documentation
  • Expertise in structuring and indexing content for usability and accessibility
  • Familiarity with standards and compliance requirements in aerospace/defence
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and content authoring tools
