
Strategic Procurement Specialist

As a Contract and Procurement Professional, you will be responsible for delivering strategic procurement and contract management advice to meet the organisation's current and emerging needs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the end-to-end account payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, and payment processing.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms and conditions to ensure appropriate outcomes for the organisation.
- Review and assess current and potential contracts and their financial impact on the business.
- Identify and mitigate financial risk associated with contracts.
- Ensure contracts comply with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure effective cost management and adherence to budget constraints.
- Prepare reports and analysis related to contracts for management review and decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers from a financial perspective.
- Oversee the administrative aspects of contracts, such as documentation, storage, invoicing, and payment processing.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Ability to lead diverse teams and implement process improvements.
- Extensive experience in procurement, tendering, and contracting environments.
- Comprehensive experience in coordinating and managing teams in a flexible, multi-skilled environment with advanced interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Technical leadership and project coordination skills.
- Demonstrated competence in PC Applications software, e.g. Word, Excel, Contract Administration Applications.
- Experience working in the Health, Aged Care, or Community Services Sectors, or a demonstrated understanding of these sectors.
- Membership with recognised procurement associations (e.g. AAPCM, CIPSA).
