Job Description

Project Manager for Defence Infrastructure Projects

Our organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure projects in the Defence sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects, ideally within the Defence or Government sector.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage infrastructure projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive engagement.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Manage project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and organization standards.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Construction Management).
  • A current Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to maintain one).
  • Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within the Defence or Government sector.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
