
Infrastructure Projects Manager

The Defence sector is undergoing significant growth, and this role presents an opportunity to contribute to the Estate Works Program (EWP) as part of the Project Delivery Service (PDS) Contract in Townsville and Far North Queensland.
This position involves managing infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle stages, from initiation to closure. Strong stakeholder relationships will be built through proactive engagement, ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree holders in relevant fields, such as Business, Engineering, or Construction Management, are eligible for this role. Current Baseline Security Clearance or ability to maintain it is also a requirement.
Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably within the Defence or Government sector, is expected. Familiarity with project management methodologies like PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile is highly valued.
A strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards is necessary. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are required for success in this position.
About the Role- Manage infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle stages
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Oversee project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and Group standards
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, focusing on risk management and continuous improvement
- Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Construction Management)
- Current Baseline Security Clearance or ability to maintain it
- Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within the Defence or Government sector
