Our Organisation

We have more than 50 major infrastructure projects in delivery, across all key sectors of the construction industry. This includes roads and bridges, rail, tunnelling, defence, airports, buildings, and resources.

The Role

We are recruiting experienced Project Engineers for upcoming opportunities throughout Townsville, QLD.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will oversee business performance/systems and provide recommendations for business improvement/growth.
  • You will contribute to the preparation of operational project plans, in accordance with current requirements.
  • You will demonstrate a personal commitment to our health and safety cultural framework, policies, and management system requirements.
  • You will comply with and require others to comply with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • You will maintain health and safety as a consistent agenda item at all workgroup meetings.
  • You will participate in consultative forums pertaining to H&S management.
  • You will initiate H&S processes across the project, including toolbox talks, inspections, and risk identification/assessment/control.
  • You will promote the reporting of incidents, near misses, hazards, non-conformances, system improvements, and customer complaints.
  • You will undertake corrective actions arising from H&S processes.

Requirements

  • You should have a degree qualification in Engineering/Project Management or related discipline.
  • You should have demonstrated experience in delivery of construction projects.
  • You should have demonstrated capability gained in a business/project management role at similar level.
  • You should have demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities.
  • You should be able to prepare and manage operational budgets and review financial information.
  • You should be able to oversee and control the execution of all tasks and projects in your area.
