Job Description

This is a senior leadership position that oversees the University's risk management framework, strategy, and operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing institutional and reputational risks, with a strong understanding of the complexities of the higher education environment.

About the Role
  1. Lead the development and implementation of the University's risk management framework and policies, aligning with regulatory requirements.
  2. Support Council to set the University's risk appetite and effectively co-ordinate strategic risk on behalf of the Executive.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify organisational risk, including those related to strategic initiatives and projects.
  4. Work collaboratively with the Executive and senior management to enhance risk management, controls, and governance across the University.
  5. Oversee the University's insurance program and business continuity program.
  6. Provide clear and sector-relevant communication, reporting, and advice to Council, Executive, and senior leaders.
