Job Title: Community Support CoordinatorJob Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in delivering exceptional support services to Defence members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Coordination: Plan, organise and execute events, workshops and community activities that foster connections among Defence families and the broader community.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for Defence families seeking assistance, information or referrals to appropriate services.
  • Administration and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate membership records, databases and contact lists; manage email communications and bookings.
  • Grant and Compliance Support: Assist with grant applications, prepare reports and ensure alignment with funding agreements and organisational policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, and liaise with Defence, government and community stakeholders to strengthen partnerships.
  • Communication and Promotion: Coordinate newsletters, social media posts and community network messaging to promote CDCSG activities, ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Governance and Policy Compliance: Support the implementation of policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
Requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Experience in community engagement or event planning is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Defence lifestyle challenges and community support networks is advantageous.
Work Environment

Part-time (25 hours/week). Covered under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
