">About Defence Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide support and assistance to students from Defence families, helping them integrate into our school community.

This role involves creating awareness among staff and students about the needs of young people from Defence families, as well as assisting parents and students to become familiar with our school and its facilities.

The successful candidate will develop and implement programs to ensure Defence students feel welcome and included, making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist Defence students in integrating into the school community
  • Create awareness about Defence student needs among staff and students
  • Assist Defence parents and students to become familiar with the school and its facilities
  • Develop and implement programs for Defence students' inclusion and wellbeing

Requirements:
  • Make informed decisions based on a deep understanding of the broader context
  • Understand complexities and challenges faced by Defence students, including mobile lifestyles and emotional impacts of parental deployment
