Job Overview

The Vice President of Gaming Operations will lead the strategic planning, direction, and management of casino operations in collaboration with senior executives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the overall operations and staff of gaming departments.
  • Develop and implement operational goals to enhance performance and profit objectives.
  • Ensure effective scheduling while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing requirements.
  • Provide direction to gaming leadership and oversee game protection and overall operations.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, evaluate their potential benefits, and recommend implementation.
  • Review and evaluate casino floor layouts, refine, and improve performance.
  • Regularly assess local competitors and stay informed about their product offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop cost-effective promotions that generate additional gaming revenue.
  • Work with IT and marketing to maximize accounting and player tracking systems.
  • Maintain hold percentages aligned with location and marketing strategy.
  • Track and summarize gaming performance using master summary evaluation programs.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices across properties.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and managing gaming department management.
  • Set goals and objectives for the management team.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with gaming regulations.
  • Review departmental policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness and alignment with property objectives.
