Our mission is to support children, young people, families, individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and those facing mental health challenges. We are dedicated to assisting people experiencing homelessness, as well as refugees and asylum seekers.

Role Responsibilities

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate support, guidance, and care to youth aged 12 to 17 residing in our Therapeutic Care facilities. The young individuals in our care have often experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect, and may also face mental health, physical, or psychosocial challenges.

Success in this role requires resilience, adaptability to changing circumstances, and a strong commitment to advocating for the well-being of the youth you will support. We currently have openings for both permanent and casual positions.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A relevant Diploma or Bachelor's degree qualification OR
  • Identification as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander with relevant work experience OR
  • Relevant work experience with a willingness to complete a Diploma of Child, Youth & Family Intervention provided by LWB (at no cost) OR
  • Relevant work experience while currently pursuing a relevant Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting children and youth who have faced trauma, disabilities, or exhibit challenging behaviors (preferably in a residential care context).
  • A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID001 or HLTAID009) Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid Driver's License.
