Empowerment Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Empowerment Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the lives of our residents by engaging them in leisure and lifestyle programs that cater to their individual needs and preferences.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in aged care or supporting individuals with dementia, and possess expertise in lifestyle and leisure programs. They will also have a strong understanding of relevant legislative requirements, professional standards, and guidelines applicable to the aged and community care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and assess therapeutic plans in collaboration with residents, staff, and volunteers.
  • Support residents in making informed choices about their leisure and lifestyle activities.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality leisure and lifestyle programs that promote improved customer wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience in aged care or supporting individuals with dementia.
  • Lifestyle and leisure programs expertise.
  • Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle, or equivalent experience deemed appropriate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
