Associate Director, Asset Management Assurance

Job Description:

The Associate Director, Asset Management Assurance is a senior leadership role that plays a crucial part in shaping the future of asset management within the organization. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for driving transformative change and influencing policy at the highest level.

This role requires strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills to guide government agencies toward world-class practices in asset management. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand asset challenges and opportunities, and provide high-quality advice to inform strategic decisions.

As an expert in asset management, you will be responsible for assessing agency asset management frameworks and portfolio performance, driving uplift of agency asset management capabilities, and collaborating on strategy development and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess agency asset management frameworks and portfolio performance
  • Drive uplift of agency asset management capabilities, implementing the NSW Asset Management Policy
  • Collaborate on strategy development, program review, and policy implementation for enhanced asset management outcomes
  • Manage special projects and contribute to reports analyzing the NSW asset portfolio performance
  • Engage with agencies to understand asset challenges and opportunities
  • Prepare high-quality advice for government agencies, the Infrastructure NSW Executive, Board, Ministers, and Cabinet
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in infrastructure-related disciplines (engineering, commerce, finance, public policy) or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise in asset management, ISO 55001, and/or the NSW Public Sector Asset Management Policy
  • Experience in developing asset management processes and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills in complex environments
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication abilities
