Grounds Maintenance Position

This role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for ensuring the gardens and outdoor areas are well-maintained and visually appealing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of gardening principles, including soil management, plant care, and landscaping techniques. Experience with machinery operation and maintenance is also desirable.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with other staff to ensure that all areas of the site are kept clean and tidy. This includes mowing lawns, pruning plants, and performing general labouring duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General landscaping and garden maintenance
  • Mowing, hedging, spraying, and general labouring duties
  • Operation, maintenance, and cleaning of tools and machinery

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position with a knowledge of horticulture
  • Current manual driver's licence (desirable)
  • Bobcat, excavator, back-hoe, truck licence or tractor driving experience (advantageous)
  • High level of understanding and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
  • Physical fitness required - carrying, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, twisting
  • Able to start at 5:00am and work on any days including weekends and school holidays
