Job Description:

The Lending Specialist plays a pivotal role in the retail branch network by building relationships with members through exceptional member service and sound residential mortgage advice.

This position requires collaboration with branch staff, regional lending peers, and the credit team to provide a positive member experience during the largest purchase – their home.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing seamless end-to-end banking experience
  • Making outbound calls to new and prospective members
  • Creating meaningful conversations with members by building trust and confidence
  • Building relationships within the Defence Community
  • Educating members on digital banking tools
  • Growing Mortgage and Consumer lending portfolios
  • Partnering with the Credit Team to meet member expectations within a reasonable time period and within credit criteria
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Member experience is the primary passion, putting the member's experience first.

Candidates are results-driven, self-motivated, Go-Getters who are proactive yet flexible. They possess strong retail lending experience, solid knowledge of local residential mortgage products, and real estate market awareness.

Tier 2 accreditation and/or Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Brokering is essential.
