At Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd - D81, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Director of Technical Growth to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Technical Business Developers who work with Startups in the APJ Region to adopt AWS technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hiring and developing a team of excellent GTM Specialists who work with Startups in the APJ Region.
  • Interacting with CxO/VP level executives, developers, and technical architects to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
  • Becoming a trusted business advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
  • Developing and deploying programs that leverage AWS Field teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
  • Collaborating with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
  • Working with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading high-performance teams at a Startup, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. They should also have 7+ years of relevant Sales, Product, Consulting, and/or Go-To-Market experience, as well as 7+ years of experience with at least two of the following technology categories: Compute, Containers, Analytics, Database, AI/ML, Storage.
