Job Title: Health Promotion Program Lead

Job Description

This leadership role is responsible for managing the design, delivery and evaluation of health promotion programs to improve the health of people living in Sydney Local Health District.

The position will contribute to the development and achievement of health promotion strategic directions and operations, lead health promotion practice, and deliver evidence-informed, innovative health promotion programs and initiatives.

  • Manage the overall planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of current and future local and state-wide health promotion programs.
  • Drive the development and achievement of health promotion strategic directions and operations.
  • Lead health promotion practice and deliver evidence-informed, innovative health promotion programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health promotion strategies aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Lead project planning, implementation and evaluation of population health promotion programs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies and other health organizations.
  • Provide coaching and facilitation skills to staff and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health Promotion, Public Health, Marketing/Communications, Management, Epidemiology or other relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in one or more of these disciplines.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Leadership skills in the development of health promotion programs aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills.
