Health and Safety Specialist - Construction Industry
About the Opportunity:This is an exciting career opportunity for a Health and Safety Specialist to join a leading developer-builder as a key member of their team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans to ensure compliance with current WHS legislation and regulations.
- Deliver training and provide practical advice to staff and subcontractors on WHS matters.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Build relationships across project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to foster a culture of safety.
- Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent re-occurrences.
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
- 2+ years' experience in a HSE role on commercial or residential construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience on unit builds or large-scale commercial projects is highly desirable.
