Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our high-performing team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering our strategic goal: A Safer Place to Work Every Day.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead safety initiatives that promote a healthy work environment, engagement, and compliance
  • Drive risk management across people, processes, and places
  • Champion wellbeing programs that make a real difference
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
  • Coach leaders, investigate incidents, and deliver impactful training

You will work closely with site leaders to achieve these goals, leveraging your expertise in OH&S legislation, stakeholder management, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Warehousing
  • Sound technical knowledge of OH&S legislation and standards
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and consultation skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and online reporting tools
  • Completion of Return-to-Work Coordinator and ICAM Incident Investigation training, as well as Traffic Management training, will be advantageous
  • Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are required
