As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Safety Manager and various teams to support the implementation of our Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
This role requires guiding behavioural safety initiatives, assisting with incident investigations and risk management processes, and ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and aligned with our core values.
You will provide coaching and mentoring to teams and contractors to embed health and safety practices into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and mentoring to teams and contractors
- Lead and support the implementation of Behavioural Safety Programs
- Support thorough incident investigations and assist in developing corrective actions
- Analyse incident data and develop proactive safety initiatives
- Deliver safety training sessions
- Support the use of Risk Management Tools
- Assist with the rollout of Fatality Prevention and Process Safety Programs
- Conduct Safety Audits and Reviews
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- ICAM Lead Investigation qualifications with a strong track record in incident investigation
- Safety Management System auditing expertise
- Extensive experience in implementing Behavioural Safety Initiatives
- Risk Management expertise
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical capabilities
- A proactive mindset capable of managing priorities
