Cash Collection Specialist

Timely debt collection is critical to maintaining a positive customer relationship.
The successful Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Providing weekly debtor reports to the Senior Accountant.
- Processing various receipts, including cheques, direct deposits, credit cards and webstore captures/downloads.
- Resolving escalated customer debtor disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Conducting major customer account reconciliations.
- E nsuring that collection targets are met for respective ledgers, with DSO within 45-55 days.
- Maintaining phone contact with customers of unpaid accounts by the 10th of the month following the due date to ensure timely account collection and build customer rapport.
- Monitoring potential bad debts and advising the Senior Accountant accordingly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
