Accounts Receivable Officer

The Role Demands Strong Communication Skills and Ability to Build Rapport with Customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly Reporting of Debtors to the Senior Accountant for Timely Collections.
  • Process Receipts from Various Sources Including Cheques, Direct Deposits, Credit Cards, and Webstore Captures/Downloads.
  • Collections within 30 Days from Invoice Date to Maintain a Positive Cash Flow.
  • Investigate Escalated Customer Disputes Promptly and Resolve Them Fairly.
  • Reconcile Major Customer Accounts and Ensure Collection Targets are Met.
  • Maintain DSO within 45-55 Days for Respective Ledgers.
  • Regular Contact with Unpaid Customers to Ensure Timely Payments and Foster Good Relationships.
  • Identify Potential Bad Debts and Advise the Senior Accountant.
  • Manage 'On Hold' Customers to Prevent Exceeding Approved Credit Limits.
  • Process Credit Applications in a Timely Manner.
  • Respond to Customer Queries via Email or Phone Promptly.
  • Maintain a Well-Organized Workspace and Adhere to Established Systems and Procedures.
  • Perform Other Accounts Receivable Duties as Assigned by the Senior Accountant.
