Mobile Maintenance Technician

About the role: As a result of continued growth, our team is seeking to expand its roster of Mobile Maintenance Technicians at a coal mine in NSW. Located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, the mine produces high-quality thermal coal for domestic and export markets.
Mining operations utilise a fleet of CAT 789, 793, 785 trucks, CAT 16M & 14M graders, CAT D10 and D11 dozers, and Liebherr 9350, 9400 excavators across four panels. Crews are under the guidance of experienced leading hands and supervisors who ensure fitters have necessary resources and tools to complete their work effectively.
Fitters perform planned and unplanned maintenance on Peabody mining equipment, working in workshop or field-based sections. Duties include:
- Repairing, maintaining, and inspecting mobile machinery to ensure optimal working condition;
- Prioritising and completing specified and general work to the required standard within timeframes;
- Collaborating with planning teams to increase reliability and availability targets;
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment;
- Minimising production downtime;
- Using libraries such as SIS.
The lifestyle: This position offers a family-friendly rotating panel roster with a mix of days and nights, suitable for a residential lifestyle in the nearby Mudgee district.
