About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Fleet Maintenance Planner to join our Wilpinjong mine site. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 48 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, producing high-quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets. We are in the midst of an exciting phase where our teams set high expectations and deliver safely on these goals. We are looking for like-minded individuals to join us.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, your role will involve maintaining and improving maintenance planning and scheduling to maximize mobile fleet reliability. This will be achieved through developing and delivering accurate and achievable plans.

Duties will include:

  • Implementing maintenance "best practice" techniques to ensure equipment is maintained to high safety, productivity, and reliability standards
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to manage lead times on parts
  • Prioritizing work and managing time effectively
  • Forecasting costs for short to mid-term field work
  • Working with the Maintenance Execution Team to develop plans that support the maintenance function to meet business needs
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal departments and key suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative, WH&S standards, and site policies and procedures
  • Developing a high-performing planning and scheduling team

About you:

  • Mechanical Trade or Engineering qualification
  • 3+ years experience as a Maintenance Planner (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, maintenance planning, and scheduling principles and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with safety systems and processes, including JSEAs, risk assessments, and permits
  • Experience with Microsoft Project is desirable but not required

You will be goal-oriented and capable of working independently.
