About Maintenance Role

Seamlessly blending heritage-listed charm with contemporary design, a luxury hotel offers 5-star experiences in the heart of The Rocks precinct.

We have an opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team reporting to the General Manager. This role is ideal for a Duty Technician looking to take a step into leadership and responsibility for own hotel.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the Maintenance of the hotel:

  • Undertaking general repairs and maintenance including preventative maintenance
  • Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing & electrical.
  • Painting and gardening duties
  • Purchasing & administration
  • Coordinating and communicating with guests, customers and third-party contractors to resolve maintenance issues.

Skills & Qualifications

This position requires:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • A clear understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices
  • Ability to work unsupervised and collaborate with other departments
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Solid customer service and computer skills
