The role of a Fire Suppression Technician is crucial in our team, requiring excellent customer service skills, technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Critical Responsibilities- Provide assistance to customers in the use of Pre-engineered Fire Protection Systems and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met.
- Present ourselves at all times as highly professional employees, including individual and vehicle presentation.
- Ensure punctuality and meet all customer requirements.
- Contribute to increasing the customer base through active promotion of products and services.
- Reduce customer attrition by delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management and service delivery using handheld technology.
- Survey customer machines and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with procedures and processes.
- Effectively manage available time and resources, and be proactive in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment in an accurate and legible manner, using systems including i-Service handheld technology.
- Comply with EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
- Perform risk assessments of work activities, take corrective action, and properly use and maintain assigned control measures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
This role requires a strong commitment to compliance with our Code of Ethics and related policies, as well as fostering open communications and supporting business practices.
Person Specification- Minimum 2 years' experience in the Fire Protection Industry, including Fire Hose Reels, Fire Extinguishers, and Fire Hydrants.
- Cert II in Asset Maintenance - Fire Protection Systems with relevant Cert III modules completed for industry competency qualification.
- Current Driver's Licence and up-to-date product and industry knowledge.
