We are seeking a highly skilled Wayside and On-Board Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking tasks assigned by the Team Lead, assisting other engineers with projects, providing Obsolescence Reports and support, and attending site as required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be available to work on an ad-hoc basis with flexible hours and varied tasks.
  • Support help desk activities for remote and centralized Maintenance activities.
  • Continuously monitor signalling system component lifecycles and supply chain data to identify potential obsolescence issues.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure a coordinated approach to obsolescence management.
  • Investigate and resolve complex obsolescence issues ensuring minimal disruption to production and ongoing operations.
  • Seek out and implement innovative solutions to extend the lifespan of our products and minimize the impact of obsolescence.
  • Maintain obsolescence tracking tools and generate regular reports.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to stay ahead of lifecycle changes.
  • Assist team leader with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, attend workshops, and other training initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable HSE laws and HSE policies and procedures including the reporting of all safety incidents using Company procedures.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Railway Signalling System.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Software System or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Product Expertise: Knowledge on critical signalling wayside, onboard and train control systems/equipment's.
  • Familiarity with BOM management tools and obsolescence databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
