Business Data Strategist

The role of Business Data Strategist presents a unique opportunity to drive business outcomes through the effective utilisation of data analytics and intelligence. This position entails collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement comprehensive data strategies that support the achievement of organisational goals.

  • Develop and maintain accurate reports, data visualisation dashboards and software packages to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Conduct data analysis, identify and investigate data issues, and cleanse and prepare data for strategic business planning.
  • Design and develop clear and user-friendly instruction materials, including guides, manuals and checklists that align with best practice and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and mapping existing business processes and procedural documentation to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage business intelligence tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex data insights to executive audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, Power BI or other related business intelligence and data extraction tools.
  • Strong technical skills in data collection, consolidation and analytics, including experience with business intelligence, data warehousing and enterprise content management systems.
