About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager at JD Sports Australia, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences across our stores. You will work closely with your Store Manager to inspire and motivate your team to achieve outstanding results, while maintaining a deep understanding of our customers' needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commercial and Business Development
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the Store Manager to create and review store rosters, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
    • Conduct daily walkthroughs with the Store Manager and Visual Merchandiser to ensure visual displays are aligned with company standards and customer preferences.
  2. Resilience, Adaptability, and Pace
    • Stay up-to-date with changing business processes and procedures, adapting quickly to new initiatives and priorities.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, effectively managing the sales floor and team to deliver a 'service over task' environment.
    • Manage multiple key priorities, including people management, sales targets, campaign launches, visual merchandising, stock management, and in-store marketing.
    • Delegate tasks to other Managers within the store, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with company directives.
  3. Dynamic People Management
    • Set clear expectations and goals for your team, motivating and inspiring them to achieve excellence.
    • Train the team on internal and external loss prevention procedures, leading by example to ensure adherence to these processes.
    • Provide regular updates to the Store Manager on operations and people performance, highlighting key improvements and achievements.
    • Inspire, train, and support your team to deliver a world-class experience for JD customers.
