Administrative Operations Director for Mount Isa Water Board

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Operations Director to join our Corporate & Governance Division at Mount Isa Water Board. This critical role ensures the seamless functioning of fast-paced human resources, administration, and IT systems in a dynamic office environment.
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Corporate & Governance, you will provide essential operational support to employees, executives, and stakeholders. Your exceptional organisational skills, adaptability, and solution-focused problem-solving mindset will be crucial in managing and enhancing key processes effectively.
You will lead HR operations, oversee administrative functions such as travel and procurement, and manage IT systems and cybersecurity. With responsibility for a small team, you will also prepare executive reports, uphold governance standards, and foster collaboration and stakeholder engagement to drive organisational success.
About the Person- A qualification in Business, HR, Administration, ICT, or a related field (Bachelor's degree).
- Strong experience in HR administration, IT coordination, and operational management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- A natural curiosity and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- $70,000 per annum base salary.
