Role Overview

The Aboriginal Strategy and Partnerships Lead will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, working collaboratively to preserve and celebrate their cultures.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the development of impactful policies, build partnerships with Indigenous communities, and deliver projects and reports on employment, procurement, and cultural inclusion.

The successful candidate will have a strong profile and reputation in the local community, with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders, including community members and organisations.

The key responsibilities of this role include driving the organisation's progress in achieving its Closing the Gap targets, developing policy and strategy that embeds Aboriginal cultural awareness and knowledge throughout the organisation, and building and leveraging relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, communities, and relevant government departments.
