Job Description

Control Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to work on large-scale, complex projects and travel internationally. As a key member of our team, you will have opportunities to enhance your technical capability through diverse project work and play a crucial role in building capability within the teams by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Control Systems Solutions: Ensure that control systems meet engineering standards and client requirements.
  • Solve Complex Engineering Problems: Utilize broad knowledge and skills to resolve complex engineering problems.
  • Project Ownership: Take ownership of control system aspects within projects, including developing, reviewing, and approving project deliverables.
  • Technical Documentation: Independently produce high-quality technical documentation, including reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and successful outcomes.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers, fostering their professional growth within the company.
  • Site Visits and Commissioning: Participate in site visits and commissioning activities to ensure control systems operate as intended.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent: A relevant tertiary qualification in a related field.
  • Travel Readiness: A willingness and readiness to travel nationally and internationally, embracing diverse project landscapes.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in mining and mineral processing projects/operations.
  • Independent Working: Demonstrated proficiency to work independently on control systems project work.
  • Document Generation: Experience with generating and interpreting engineering documents such as functional descriptions, alarm registers, C&E matrix, commissioning plans, and inspection test plans.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for seamless interaction with clients and team members.
  • Mentoring and Development: An interest in mentoring and developing other Engineers.
