Nurse Unit Manager


Job Description:

As a key member of the management team, you will lead a dedicated team at Pindara Private Hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the efficient and effective operation of the 25-bed ward and 4-bed Close Observation unit for Neurosurgery and Breast Care Patients.

This is a permanent part-time role with minimum 9 or 10 shifts contracted hours of 68.4 – 76 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing organisational strategy to improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and hospital strategic objectives.
  • Collaborating with other managers to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practices and legislative requirements.
  • Overseeing the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources within the department.
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the unit.
