Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a professional with expertise in civil and structural design to collaborate on planning, developing, coordinating, and reviewing project work.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in 3D modeling environments, producing detailed drawings, facilitating discussions, communicating complex technical issues, and preparing estimates and work plans.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Civil/Structural Design Work: Plans, develops, coordinates, and reviews design work within a team environment on medium-sized projects or assignments in support of business unit objectives.
  • Design Deliverables: Produces 3D models, drawings, and documentation in accordance with established design and scope requirements, including the design of concrete structures, foundations, and steel detailing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinates and interfaces with technical staff, including engineers, scientists, specialists, designers, and drafters, to ensure seamless execution of project tasks.
  • Technical Expertise: Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to management.
  • Estimating and Planning: Prepares or oversees the preparation of civil/structural design estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborates with client representatives to obtain approval on phases of work.
  • Engineering Review: Reviews key civil/structural engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries.
  • Talent Development: Mentors junior designers and drafters by providing on-the-job training for their professional development.
  • Compliance: Ensures that civil/structural systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
