About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ngala Community Services. In this ongoing full-time role, you'll play a vital part in shaping the early educational experiences of young learners, working closely with our Early Childhood Teacher to foster children's social, emotional, and intellectual growth in a play-based environment.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you'll be responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and development. You'll foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement, and develop strong relationships with children and their families to support their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging and interactive curriculum and activities that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, working closely with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons and activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA approved equivalent).
  • Relevant experience working in a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • Valid WA Working with Children's Check.
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months.
