About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Claims Professional to manage a portfolio of strata claims. The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and be comfortable providing updates and outcomes to key stakeholders.

Whilst insurance/strata claims management experience is preferred, we are open to hearing from candidates who do not have this background. We are looking for customer service superstars who are open to learning the fundamentals of insurance on the job and have the mindset of building a career in insurance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

The Claims Professional will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of strata claims
  • Providing support and advice to policyholders during the claims process
  • Examining claim forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine coverage
  • Investigating claims by conducting office-based analysis of physical damage details, interviewing claimants and comparing claim information with evidence
  • Setting loss reserves and updating when changes in circumstances become apparent
  • Preparing reports by collecting and summarising information required
  • Settling claims after determining the insurance carrier's liability
