Bridge Lead Job Description

Leading the bridge engineering capability across Australia is a key focus area for our Infrastructure business. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage our bridge projects.

About the Role
  • Support the Regional Director for Highways & Bridges by supervising a team of bridge engineers and designers, ensuring high technical standards and compliance with business systems.
  • Oversee contract negotiations including variations, claims, and commercial disputes, ensuring successful outcomes and efficient project delivery.
  • Provide leadership on multi-disciplined projects, focusing on effective project management and technical expertise.
  • Develop and implement business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and strategic planning.
  • Maintain oversight of output quality, timeliness, and budget adherence within the group, guaranteeing excellence in all aspects.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Bridge Engineer with industry recognition at state level, possessing a degree in civil engineering and expertise in current Australian Standards and construction practices.

The selected individual must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Their strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable them to effectively manage risks and make informed decisions, ensuring the success of our bridge engineering capability.
