About the job Federal Government Role12 months initial contract with 12 months potential extension Location: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WAHybrid work arrangements Australian Citizenship is mandatory / Baseline preferred Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Release Train Engineer for a federal government department with offices in the ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA.

Key duties and responsibilities Define with Director project scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria Responsible for the development of the project schedules and maintenance of the TSD plan.

Responsible for delivery of all technical components of the project solution including system architecture, cyber and security, and other aspects of technology delivery for which TSD is responsible.

Work collaboratively with Business PMs to identify risks, issues, escalations, and maintain log.

Work closely with Scrum Masters, staying abreast of status of the day-to-day delivery of the core technology solution being developed and tested.

Publish Weekly OCIO Status Reports & produce project closure reports.

Ensure technology compliances are in place (such as Cyber assessments, Penetration testing, Scheme actuary).

Drive the completion of the Operational Readiness Checklist as the key input for TSD release readiness.

Create & maintain a project Confluence page for team collaboration.

Establish a positive teaming environment.

Be a champion for continuous improvement.

Essential criteria1.

Proven experience 8 to 10 years in establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT system delivery projects, including digital cloud-based solutions.2.

Recent experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management and governance frameworks and methodologies.3.

Project Management in Federal or State Government environments.4.

Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry recognised qualification in project management, such as Diploma of Project Management; or SAFe Agile.5.

Proven commitment to developing staff capability and proactively fostering a positive culture aligned to corporate values.

Desirable criteria1.

Experience in delivering systems based on Salesforce will be highly regarded.2.

Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
