About the Opportunity:


InvoCare is seeking a skilled HSE Advisor to join our Health, Safety and Sustainability team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of our health, safety, and environment strategy.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Implement health, safety, and environment strategies and initiatives across NSW and ACT locations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including line managers, team members, and other HSS team members
  • Act as an internal advisor, promoting and coaching on health, safety, and environment program implementation and risk management
  • Provide support to operational management and teams on a day-to-day basis
  • Utilize strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve desired health, safety, and environment outcomes
  • Implement audit and assurance programs according to schedule, including close out of associated non-conformances and observations

What You'll Bring:



  • Tertiary qualifications in an HSE discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a large, diverse, and multi-site organization
  • Broad understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environment, and Workers' Compensation legislation in relevant jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated results in improving safety culture and HSE performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing health, safety, and environmental challenges

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:



  • Lead ICAM investigator qualification or similar
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Relevant State Return to Work Coordinator trained
  • Experience in the development of risk assessments and facilitating associated workplace consultation
  • Strong ability to consult and deliver results
  • Able to influence at a local and regional level
  • Experience in conducting internal audits
