About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to fill three exciting HSE Advisor positions within our Health, Safety and Sustainability team at InvoCare.

This role will be based in Sydney and will be responsible for providing support to line management in executing business strategy related to health, safety, and environment practices.

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of WHS, Environment and Workers' Compensation legislation and will be able to promote and coach HSE program implementation and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the HSE strategy, plan, and initiatives across NSW and ACT locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including line managers, team members, HSRs, Committees, and other HSS team members.
  • Act as an internal advisor, promoting and coaching HSE program implementation and risk management.
  • Provide support to Operational Management and teams on a day-to-day basis.
  • Utilize facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills to achieve desired HSE outcomes.
  • Implement audit and assurance programs according to schedule, including close out of associated non-conformances and observations.
What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an HSE discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a large, diverse, and multi-site organisation.
  • Broad understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environment and Workers' Compensation legislation in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated results in improving safety culture and HSE performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing health, safety, and environmental challenges.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Lead ICAM investigator qualification or similar.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Relevant State Return to Work Coordinator trained.
  • Experience in the development of risk assessments and facilitating associated workplace consultation.
  • Strong ability to consult and deliver results.
  • Able to influence at a local and regional level.
  • Experience in conducting internal audits.
