HCF Australia is a leading company in Australia, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional services to its clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Engineer to join our team.
Job OverviewThis is a permanent opportunity for a talented individual to work as a Network and Security Engineer at HCF Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining our network infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities- Network Operations and Security: Responsible for network operations and security controls that protect data and assets across the network.
- Tier 3 Support: Provide tier 3 support for network infrastructure, including troubleshooting and resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Cisco Devices Management: Design, deploy, configure, install, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and other networking devices.
- Cisco ACI Fabric: Design, deploy, and configure Cisco ACI fabric, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Palo Alto Firewalls: Configure and manage Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy management and threat mitigation.
- Network Monitoring and Management: Manage and troubleshoot network BAU tasks, including Cisco Wireless/Cisco ISE and branch network.
- SD-WAN Solutions: Support SD-WAN solutions using Viptela technology, ensuring efficient and reliable connectivity for branch offices.
- Load Balancing: Configure and manage Citrix/F5/NGNIX Load Balancer, including policy management and monitoring.
- Network Maintenance and Lifecycle: Understand network maintenance and lifecycle (EOS/EOL) controls and provide insights in a timely manner.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with 3rd Party and MSP providers and vendors to achieve operational dependency results.
- Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning: Participate in network capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Vulnerability Management: Ability to perform network vulnerability management and mitigation strategies.
- Degree and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 3 to 5+ years of experience in network operations roles, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of Cisco Routing and Switching technologies, including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP; hands-on experience with Cisco ACI fabric, including fabric discovery, policies, and integration with external services.
- Firewall and Security Expertise: Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto Firewalls, including PAN-OS and Panorama.
- Wireless and SD-WAN Expertise: Experience with Cisco Wireless technologies, including Cisco Aironet and Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers; familiarity with SD-WAN solutions, particularly Cisco Viptela, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Certifications and Analytical Skills: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE or equivalent industry certifications; strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Cloud and On-Prem Network Security: Understanding of AWS Cloud and on-prem Network Security.
- ITIL and Network Monitoring Tools: Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds or Cisco Prime Infrastructure/Cisco DNAC and/or Logic Monitor.
- ITIL Framework: Understanding of ITIL framework and experience working in ITIL-based environments.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
