Job Title: Agricultural Operations Specialist

The Louis Dreyfus Company is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Agricultural Operations Specialist. This position will be based in Edith NT, with potential travel requirements to other LDC gin sites.

This role is responsible for the efficient, effective, and safe operation of all areas under their control. Key responsibilities include:

  • Agricultural equipment operation and maintenance
  • Facilitating communication between teams to ensure seamless production
  • Maintenance of high-quality standards through regular machinery checks
  • Employee supervision and development
  • Safety protocols - Ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations

Essential Skills:

  • Mechanical experience or trade background
  • Ability to identify/control weaknesses in processes and implement best practices
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently
  • Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience supervising staff in a maintenance/production environment
  • Sound computer skills for data management and record-keeping
