Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our surface maintenance team at Carrapateena. In this role, you will perform planned, unplanned, and breakdown maintenance activities on various equipment such as conveyors, grinding mills, feeders, pumps, bore fields, and filter presses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety standards and procedures to work safely and effectively every day
  • Provide technical expertise for maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment
  • Develop close working relationships with operations personnel to address plant downtime issues
  • Perform planned maintenance on equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns with sound troubleshooting skills
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Australian-recognized Mechanical Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter)
  • Proven commitment to safety and wellbeing
  • Effective communication skills across various levels
  • Experience in operational maintenance environments
  • Experience in Copper Concentrator operations is advantageous
  • Experience with SAP is desirable
