Our organization is seeking a skilled Pavement Maintenance Technician

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the condition of pavements in Casino, New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the integrity of pavement surfaces by repairing potholes and edge wear/breaks using bitumen patching techniques/products in varying weather conditions.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Contributing to a positive safety culture through the completion of required documentation, reporting incidents/hazards/near misses, and contributing to team discussions.
  • Delivering safe and effective traffic control services in accordance with work zone traffic management plans and Council's category 'G' registration.

Requirements

  • A high level of safety awareness and ability to take care of own and others' safety and wellbeing by following safe work practices.
  • The ability to use a variety of work tools and resources to enhance work products and expand own skill set.
  • An open attitude to sharing knowledge and information with team members and other staff.
  • The ability to understand team objectives and work well as a team.

Qualifications

  • A Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card).
  • A Class MR Driver Licence.
  • A SafeWork accredited certificate for Traffic Controller.
