The City of Parramatta is undergoing transformative growth and development, presenting a unique opportunity to shape the city's future. As a Workplace Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fostering positive workplace relationships and driving impactful change.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide policy and industrial relations advice to support operational matters, including Award interpretation, performance management, misconduct, and workplace investigations.
- Proactively address potential or active industrial relations issues and drive timely resolutions.
- Conduct and/or coordinate workplace investigations and manage grievance procedures.
- Coach and train managers on policies, processes, and industrial instruments.
- Participate in union consultations and dispute resolutions.
- Review remuneration practices for Award compliance.
What we're looking for
This role requires a degree qualification in HR, business, or a similar field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role or senior HR generalist position, including direct industrial relations experience within a large, unionized organization.
