Lead Student Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Lead Student Support Specialist. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring whole-school systems that support student learning, wellbeing, and behaviour.

This leadership position drives academic achievement by providing tiered support systems including universal programs, targeted interventions, and individualised plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee processes for early identification of students at risk and coordinate timely interventions.
  • Build teacher capability through professional learning and coaching on effective classroom strategies.
  • Establish collaborative systems for monitoring student progress and guide interventions with data-driven decision-making.
Key Requirements:
  • NESA-accredited teacher (Proficient or above), with relevant qualifications in education, special education, psychology, counselling, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in leading or coordinating student wellbeing, learning support, or behaviour management programs in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in implementing Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks.
