About the Role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to provide holistic care to clients in their own homes.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities as outlined in the client's tailored care plan.
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.
  • Identify client care needs and work collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Maintain accurate daily client notes and promptly report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing personal care and support to clients in their own homes.
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Preparing meals and snacks for clients.
  • Supporting clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings under the supervision of an RN.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent).
  • Current Senior First Aid [HLTAID011], CPR [HLTAID009] and Manual Handling [HLTWHS005].
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • Federal Police Clearance within the last 6 months.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
