Role Overview

ALS Limited is seeking a dedicated Sample Receipt Officer to enhance our operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that we meet the needs of our clients through effective sample management. You will be responsible for transporting samples, ensuring they are processed and delivered accurately.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sample Receipt Officer, your daily tasks will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting clients both via phone and in person
  • Processing incoming sample deliveries, which involves sorting and labeling
  • Interpreting client Chain of Custody (CoC) documentation and analytical requirements
  • Entering data from CoC documentation into the ALS Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Communicating with clients regarding sample submissions and inquiries
  • Handling samples and equipment within the laboratory environment
  • Upholding high standards of occupational health and safety
  • Ensuring a clean and organized workspace
Work Schedule

This full-time position requires the ability to drive a van. You will be responsible for transporting samples, with work hours set from Monday to Friday, starting at 11:00 AM and concluding at 7:15 PM.

Essential Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage large volumes of samples and records efficiently
  • Experience in processing or sorting within a warehouse setting
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Laboratory or Chemistry experience is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Professional demeanor with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated reliability and efficiency in work
  • Basic computer skills (training provided for internal systems)
  • Ability to retain and process high volumes of information
