Australian Payroll Services Manager

The role of a payroll services manager is critical in ensuring payroll operations comply with industrial, legislative, and statutory requirements. This includes driving continuous improvement in payroll quality and efficiency across all business units.

This position requires identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, enhancing reporting and analysis, and developing clear and effective documentation. Additionally, it involves leading leadership and development initiatives to ensure the team is well-supported and equipped to succeed.

Key responsibilities include contributing to payroll-related projects, collaborating with stakeholders across the business to drive compliance, efficiency, and service excellence.

To excel in this role, you should have expertise in payroll management, including knowledge of industrial awards, enterprise bargaining agreements, and other relevant laws and regulations. Experience in managing teams and mentoring staff is also essential.

Besides strong technical skills, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
