The Northern Sydney Child Protection Service provides a comprehensive response to individuals affected by child protection.
- Provide expert therapeutic and case management services to children, young people and their carers who have experienced physical abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence or neglect.
- Collaborate with professionals and communities through consultation, training, systems advocacy, community engagement, education and prevention work.
Candidates are expected to possess relevant tertiary qualifications and experience, as well as demonstrate behaviours that align with the CORE Values of our organisation: Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
- Demonstrate an extensive understanding of complex trauma, physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect and domestic violence, as well as best practice models for working with children, young people and adults who have experienced abuse and/or trauma.
- Apply effective negotiation, problem-solving and advocacy skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate patient care.
This position requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in an interagency environment.
